Toronto Island Garden Tour - June 6 and 7, 2015

Saturday June 6th and Sunday June 7th - 12 to 5 pm

Please join us as island gardens are blooming. Every 2 years, for several years, we’ve had many visitors. Some return regularly to see the changes and exchange garden fact and lore. It is an amazing 10 minutes from the ‘big smoke’.

Enjoy touring artists’ and plant lovers’ private gardens. Creatively expressive, they showcase an inspiring diversity of garden styles and plant life. Our Cottonwood Trees are an unusual example. New additions to the island landscape are highlighted.

Willow Square and the Victorian Landing Station transform the space at the WIA on Ward’s Island. Fronting the path that takes thousands of visitors to the boardwalk and beach, they create and connect us to our island history.

Take the Ward’s Island ferry departing from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay Street at Queen’s Quay. Check ferry times and ticket prices at: www.toronto.ca/parks/island/ferry-schedule.htm

Garden tour tickets and maps will be available in the white gazebo at arrival on Ward’s Island. Ticket prices are: adults $10, seniors $8, children $2. Funds raised are used for public landscaping projects in the community. Volunteers are responsible for the event.
