Kathy's Grove and Pollinator Garden commemoration

Saturday June 22, 2019 2 - 4pm

Join us at Kathy’s Grove and Pollinator Garden in Stanley Park on Saturday June 22, 2-4pm! Members of the Horticultural Societies of Parkdale and Toronto will be there to commemorate the garden and the benches we installed in memory of our past President, Kathy Andrachuk. Want to learn about native wildflowers which look great in your garden and help pollinators? We’ll have gardening experts to guide you.
Plus, people from the Pollinator Partnership will be there to show you how to identify pollinators, and help you learn about apps that can be used to record pollinators you find in the park. Become a citizen scientist with your mobile phone! Bird Studies Canada will be there to help with bird identifications and discuss how to improve habitat for birds. Kathy’s Garden is part of the “In The Zone” program run by World Wildlife Fund Canada and Carolinian Canada.  WWF members will show you how to put your garden In The Zone.
Kathy’s Garden is just across Adelaide Street West from Meegwetch Place. Come and see some of the native medicine plants growing in the garden. Corner of Adelaide West and Stanley Terrace.
